The Marie Woodson Foundation was founded by the Hon. Marie Woodsonlongtime community advocate, former Miami-Dade County public administrator, and the first Haitian-American State Representative elected in Broward County, Florida.
The foundation exists for a simple reason: the systems serving underserved families often stop short of what those families actually need. Where the gaps are widest, the foundation steps in, with resources, mentorship, scholarships, and economic supports that meet people where they are.
Our work is grounded in collaborative partnership with the schools, faith communities, families, and local organizations who already know what their neighborhoods need most. We believe in generational changeleaving families measurably stronger than we found them.
